Panchakarma cost in Hyderabad changes with the procedure, the number of days, and who’s running the program — not with a fixed rate card.
- A single therapy session costs far less than a full Panchakarma program.
- Classical Panchakarma is priced by duration, usually 7 to 21 days.
- Oils and formulations add to the cost, but depend on physician assessment, not a fixed list.
- Physician supervision and therapist training matter more than the quote itself.
- Arooda publishes a fixed price only for the Couples Abhyanga package; other treatments are quoted after consultation.
Ask five people in Hyderabad what Panchakarma costs and you’ll get five different numbers — ₹1,500, ₹8,000, ₹45,000. None of them are lying. They’re just describing different things.
We get this question almost every week at our Gachibowli, Banjara Hills, and Manikonda branches, usually from someone who already has a number from another clinic and wants to know if it’s fair. After 17 years of running Panchakarma programs in Hyderabad, our answer doesn’t change much: Panchakarma cost in Hyderabad depends less on a clinic’s price list and more on what your body actually needs.
This piece breaks down where that number actually comes from — the procedure, the duration, what’s used, and who’s running it — so you can tell a fair quote from a shortcut.
Why Panchakarma Cost in Hyderabad Isn’t a Single Number
People search for “Panchakarma cost” expecting a rate card. There isn’t a fair one, because “Panchakarma,” as most people use the word, could mean three fairly different things.
A Single Therapy Session
One Abhyangam. One Shirodhara. One Udwarthanam. This is maintenance and relaxation, not purification, and it’s priced per session, usually by the hour. Most people booking a single session aren’t doing Panchakarma in the classical sense at all, even if the clinic lists it under that category.
A Panchakarma “Package”
A bundled set of therapies over 3 to 7 days — Abhyangam paired with Basti, say, or Shirodhara with Udwarthanam. Common for stress, mild stiffness, or a short reset before a busy stretch at work. It isn’t full Shodhana, and it shouldn’t be priced like one.
Full Classical Panchakarma (Shodhana)
Vamana, Virechana, Basti, and Nasya, done in sequence: Purvakarma to prepare the body, the main purification procedure, then Paschatkarma for recovery and diet. This is what runs 7 to 21 days depending on the condition and how the body responds along the way, and it’s priced by the day, not per treatment. The Ministry of AYUSH, India’s government body for traditional medicine, lists Panchakarma among the core classical therapies under Ayurveda — it isn’t a spa add-on, and pricing it like one is part of what confuses people.
What Actually Changes the Price
Five things move the number more than the clinic’s brand name does.
Which Procedure You Actually Need
Vamana and Virechana need closer physician supervision through the procedure than a course of Basti does. Nasya is usually the least involved of the four. A program built around Virechana costs differently from one built around Basti alone, mostly because of how much oil, ghee, and physician time each one takes.
How Many Days the Program Runs
This is the biggest lever, by far. A 3-day reset and a 14-day classical program sometimes get called the same thing on a price list, but they aren’t the same purchase. Purvakarma, the oil and sweat therapy that prepares the body before the main procedure, can run 3 to 7 days on its own.
The Oils, Ghee, and Herbal Formulations Used
Every course uses medicated oils and ghritams during Snehapana and Abhyanga, and the quantity adds up over a multi-day program. We don’t hand out a fixed “this oil for this condition” list — the formulation, dose, and duration depend on the physician’s assessment of your dosha and the specific case, not a standard recipe. That’s also part of why two people with what looks like the same problem sometimes get different quotes. For how oil selection factors into one specific condition, see our guide on Best Ayurvedic Oil for Knee Pain.
Physician Involvement and Therapist Training
A program supervised daily by a BAMS physician, with therapists trained in Kerala doing the actual procedures, costs more than one where an attendant runs the sessions and a doctor signs off once at the start. That gap in supervision is most of what separates a ₹15,000 program from a ₹45,000 one that looks identical on paper.
Typical Panchakarma Price Ranges in Hyderabad
These are the ranges we typically see quoted across established Kerala-style clinics in Hyderabad. Treat them as a starting point, not a quote. The only way to get an accurate number is a physician consultation, because the plan changes based on what’s wrong, not the other way around.
| Type of Care | Typical Duration | Indicative Price Range (Hyderabad) |
|---|---|---|
| Single therapy session (Abhyangam, Shirodhara, Udwarthanam) | 45–90 minutes | ₹1,200 – ₹3,000 |
| Couples Abhyanga package | 75 minutes | ₹1,899 (Arooda offer price) |
| Short Panchakarma package (2-therapy combo) | 3–5 days | ₹8,000 – ₹18,000 |
| Mid-length program (single karma course, e.g. Basti) | 7–8 days | ₹18,000 – ₹35,000 |
| Full classical Shodhana (Vamana/Virechana + Basti + Nasya) | 14–21 days | ₹40,000 – ₹90,000+ |
Ranges above reflect the general Hyderabad market, not a quote from any single clinic. Ask for a written breakdown before committing to a multi-day program anywhere.
What’s Actually Included in the Price — and What Usually Isn’t
Ask this before day one, not on day five of a 14-day program.
| Usually Included | Often Billed Separately |
|---|---|
| Physician consultation and dosha assessment | Take-home medicines for after the program |
| Daily therapy sessions with trained therapists | Extended stay or accommodation, for multi-day programs |
| Medicated oils and ghee used during sessions | Diagnostic tests, if the physician orders any |
| Diet chart for the program duration | Follow-up visits after 30 days |
| One follow-up consultation at the end of the program | Transport to and from the clinic |
A quote that looks lower on paper sometimes just moved half this list to a separate bill. Compare two clinics on what’s actually included, not the headline number.
A Low Panchakarma Quote — What It Usually Means
If one clinic’s quote is dramatically lower than everyone else’s around Gachibowli or Banjara Hills, ask why before you book it. Panchakarma involves purification procedures that need a trained physician’s judgment on dose, sequencing, and after-care — not just a therapist following a checklist. A lower price sometimes just means a smaller room. Other times it means diluted oils, untrained hands, or no physician actually present during the procedure itself. Ask who supervises the sessions, not just what they cost.
A few things worth checking before you commit: is the physician BAMS-qualified and registered? Are the therapists trained specifically in Panchakarma, not general spa massage? Does the clinic have a track record you can actually verify — reviews, years in practice, a physical address you can visit? None of that shows up on a price list, and all of it affects whether the program does what it’s supposed to.
If you’re already on medication for a chronic condition, read our piece on Can Ayurveda and Allopathy Work Together? before combining treatments on your own. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the NIH’s research body for complementary medicine, notes that safety with Ayurvedic products depends heavily on quality control and practitioner training — which is exactly why physician oversight during a purification program isn’t optional.
How Arooda Prices Panchakarma — And How to Get an Accurate Quote
We don’t hand out a Panchakarma price over WhatsApp before a physician has actually looked at the case. It changes based on what your body needs, and quoting blind helps no one, least of all you, if the plan changes once you’re already partway through a program built on the wrong assumption.
The one exception is the Couples Abhyanga package: ₹1,899 for two people, 75 minutes, done by Kerala-trained therapists, available at all three branches — Gachibowli, Banjara Hills, and Manikonda. That’s fixed because it’s a standard wellness therapy, not a purification program tailored to a condition.
For anything else — a Panchakarma program for PCOD-related weight gain, fatty liver, joint pain, or a general weight loss reset — a physician does a short consultation first, in person or over a call, works out which karmas actually apply and how many days the program needs, and quotes from there. If you’d rather understand the process before booking anything, our piece on Panchakarma at Home vs Clinic covers what a clinic-based program includes that a home version can’t replicate.
